Paul Buisson Portrait in HDR

Posted by Dwight Morita (Honolulu, United States) on 15 March 2010 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

In taking an environmental portraiture of Paul Buisson, resident of New Orleans, we came to this storage shed in the back where he kept most of his yard equipment and two precious signs: they were mementos of his daughter, Paula, proclaiming her title as Miss Teen Model Louisiana. To capture the detail of the full scene I created an image using HDR. The result is a painterly effect of the scene. I explain more fully the context and the process of this shoot in my blog post, "Portrait From New Orleans: On Portraits and HDR"

It clearly recognizes the HDR image! I do not like this tool, it provides an illustrative side, too drawn stereotypes who lack their dark side that is their charm and sensuality.
Paul Buisson (bush), a very French name! ;o)
