On a rare occasion when the full moon sets on Easter morning in 2008, The moon drops behind the Sierra Nevada overlooking Mono Lake. The water sufface reflects the colors of the sky. Tufa formations populate the distinctive waterscape of this lake.

@Curly: Thank you, Curly. Yes, these images took a bit of work to get ... early morning hike to get to the lake in sub-freezing temperatures. But once you are there, the colors and light just magically appear.
@DarkElf: Thanks for your kind comments, Darkelf. Yes, I have seen that you are also experimenting with ND filters so I thought you might be interested in knowing that I used a 2-stop graduated ND to hold back the sky for this shot. Although the twilight was not intense, the sky was still too bright to capture a balanced scene, particularly to preserve the colors that appeared.
